Mary Clay was born at Roaring Springs, Trigg County, Kentucky, on 2 May 1805, the daughter of Thomas Dawson, a veteran of the Revolutionary War, and Mary Ann Clay, daughter of Dr. Henry Clay.
William died on the family farm near Greenville in Bond County, Illinois on 28 September 1867 having preached in the state for nearly twenty years.

Joseph Lindley, son of Simon and Anna (Stanley) Lindley, was born on January 7, 1793, in Orange County, North Carolina.
He was an elected civil officer for Montgomery County in 1839 and laid out the first road from Austin to the "springs at the headwaters of the San Marcos" (Aquarena Springsqv), so that a military post could be established there in 1840.
Lindley was elected county commissioner in 1854 and served one term.

 Ancestors of John Lee Sr.
The subject of this notice was born in Franklin County, Ohio, December 26th, 1797, and removed to Bond County, Illinois, when a small boy, with his parents, and when the War of 1812 broke out he enlisted as a soldier.
He was one of the pioneers of the State of Iowa, having come here and settled on the farm known as the John Lee farm, in and by economy and industry he accumulated a competence and raised a large family, consisting of four sons and eight daughters, nine of whom are yet living.
The nine elder children were born in Bond County, Illinois, and the three younger in Henry County, Iowa.
