		Spectrum Health United Memorial Chief Executive Offi-cer Paul Bonis announced today that the Spectrum Health System board of directors in Grand Rapids yesterday approved a $17 million expansion project to construct a three-story, 48,000-square-foot patient care addition to the southwest end of the United Campus in Greenville.
		Bonis said even though the management team is based in Colorado, the local health system will give "preference to local contractors."
		Bonis said constructing a new addition also "indirectly allows us to fix a lot of other issues" such as creating a private corridor from the emergency room to the operating area and freeing up space in the laboratory and radiology departments.
