Bonkers was an animated television series that aired from November 19, 1993 to December 21, 1995 on The Disney Channel, produced by Walt Disney Television.
After several years of working with Bonkers, Piquel was given an FBI job in Washington, DC, and with great glee was finally able to leave Bonkers, but finally realized that after all the times he hated Bonkers, he had taken a liking to him.
Bonkers is on his first case alone, and must retrieve the Toontown treasure of the Sorcerer's Hat (from Fantasia), the Mermaid's Voice (The Little Mermaid), and the Magic Lamp (Aladdin).

Bonkers is a character that seems to have gone through three separate metamorphoses.
His first incarnation, in "He's Bonkers!" (on "Raw Toonage"), was that of a knobby-eared bobcat who was in love with his leading lady, Fawn Deer.
Bonkers lost his knobs, and was partnered with Detective Lucky Piquel, Fall A-part Rabbit and his seeming pet, Toots the Horn and even the Mad Hatter & March Hare from Disney's "Alice in Wonderland,", but remained under Chief Kanifky.

Bonkers jumped the shark when I found out it was one of the cartoons (aside from Talespin) that replaced my all time favorite (yet very under appreciated) cartoon, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers.
Miss Bonkers was quite a site to see, especially one sketch where she pulled off her break-away costume and very nearly popped out of her bikini top.
During the middle of that episode was the only time she snapped at Bonkers, but otherwise, Bonkers was right about Miranda not being able fill in Lucky’s shoes (he had really big feet, Bonkers wept as Miranda introduced herself to him in that shark jumping episode).

Bonkers collects badges and pop balloons as he works through a level, the balloons containing badges, health upgrades, or an item which allows infinite dashing for a short period of time.
Bonkers can dash or throw bombs to pop the balloons, and the bombs can also be used to defeat enemies.

One thing i would have liked though (with the horror theme) was for the CD to have been called "Bonkers the 13th".
the cartoon style design is far better than the futuristic ones on 9 to 11.
The only problem with the cartoon style is that it is identical to the first half of the Bonkers series (1-7) and could suggest to people that nothing has changed in the scene since the older days.

After the cancellation of Disney's Bonkers in late 1993, I felt the show had met an undeserved end.
Bonkers gets the sack, and in a fit of depression gets sucked into a zany criminal plot to stop Disney's latest show, Gargoyles, from taking off and spelling the end for comedy cartoons.
This is my adaptation of my favourite Bonkers episode, with lots of extra bits added and plot points developed/explained.

Marsupilami's show was very similar to RawToonage in that it pretty much used the previously used Marsuplma shorts, some new ones, some Bonkers shorts, and some shorts involving Sebastian the Crab and Shnookums and Meat (A cat and dog cartoon, which was kind of like Disney's answer to Ren and Stimpy).
Shnookums and Meat ended up getting their own cartoon of short after that, which consisted of a Shnookums and Meat Short, a Pith Possum Super Dynamic Possum of Tommorow Short (A Batman parody), and Tex Tinstar (a wild west cartoon).
I only remember Bonkers, but I suppose that was because I didn't have Disney Channel when I was a child.
