Bonnie Bramlett (born Bonnie Lynn O'Farrell on August 11, 1944 in Alton, Illinois), is an American singer known for her distinctive vocals in rock and popular music, beginning in the mid-sixties as a backup singer, forming the husband-and-wife team of Delaney and Bonnie, and continuing to the present day as a solo artist.
Bonnie started her musical career at fifteen as a backup singer for blues acts such as Fontella Bass, Albert King, and Little Milton.
Bonnie Bramlett continued her career as a solo songwriter and recording artist.

Today, Bramlett is back on the road behind her first album in almost 20 years, a gap she attributes to "a horrible (second) marriage" that she is reluctant to talk about.
Bramlett says she was "horrified" by their version, which was far from the torch song she had written.
Bramlett is disappointed with how "I'm Still the Same" has performed in the marketplace, especially considering the rave reviews it has earned, and she blames her record label, Audium, for not promoting it after she had spent so much time out of the spotlight.

Delaney, Bonnie, and Carl Radle for the Bramlett children peaked on the charts at position #13.
Bonnie released three collections for Capricorn records during her conversion to a Born-Again Christian, toured with Stephen Stills and Little Feat, recorded with the Allman Brothers Band and Delbert McClinton, composed for Hank Williams, Jr., and even starred on the television sitcom, Roseanne.

Blind Faith's superstar guitarist Clapton was soon a fixture aboard Delaney & Bonnie's tour bus, regularly jamming with the Bramletts and their band -- when Blind Faith disbanded after the tour ended, Clapton joined Delaney & Bonnie full-time, assuming a sideman role and actively avoiding the spotlight on-stage and off.
Bonnie, meanwhile, made her solo debut with 1973's Sweet Bonnie Bramlett, recorded with the Average White Band.

Her rich husky vocals have no trouble on classic ballads such as You Belong To Me, and her sultry and highly sensual reading of the excellent Cry Me A River is awe inspiring.
And Bonnie’s laidback vocals coupled with a sleepy piano sound on No Man’s Land brings up thoughts of a smoky lounge bar, similar to the one seen in the film about the Fabulous Baker Brothers starring Michelle Pfeiffer.
