Government backbencher Bonnie Korzeniowski says she wants to ensure that people can try to help victims of car crashes and other tragedies, without fear of being sued if things go wrong.
A bill to prevent such lawsuits was first put forward this fall by opposition Liberal Leader Jon Gerrard.
The NDP government won't support Gerrard's bill, but will instead focus on Korzeniowski's legislation, which has not yet been tabled.
