 Bonnie O'Donnell
Bonnie, an alumnus of Godfrey's seminal open mic scene, is featured on the "Southside Sunday Nights - The Godfrey Daniels Open Mike Collection, Volume One" performing her song "Path to Heaven." Geoff Gehman, of Allentown's Morning Call, called the song a "moving ballad," and described it as a "refreshingly honest ode to a factory-worker father."
Bonnie has also been instrumental in organizing several key cultural projects in the Bethlehem area; a singer/songwriter concert series presented in the cafe of Touchstone Theater, and the Bethlehem Steel Songwriting Project.
Home to the folk venue Godfrey Daniels, Sing Out Magazine, and a thriving singer/songwriter community, it's natural that Bonnie would find recognition there.

The term 'mondegreen' — representing a series of words resulting from the mishearing of a statement or song lyric — is generally attributed to Sylvia Wright, who is credited with coining the neologism in a 1954 Harper's column.

Mitchell and others report that by 1632 the English sang a song named "Marry Me, Marry Me, Quoth the Bonny Lass," with a melody so agreeable it often was refitted with lyrics for more recent occasions.
That song protested against what the writer feared would be the deleterious impact of Protestant Oliver Cromwell's victory at the Battle of Naseby in 1645 on the traditional observances and merrymaking of the English Catholic Christmas.
A National Park Service information sheet provided to Yorktown visitors today says, "At no time during the 1700s was there a song entitled 'The World Turned Upside Down.'" But there is more to that pronouncement than meets the ear.

RPO -- Thomas Percy : The Bonny Earl of Murray
This poem is sub-titled "A Scottish Song." "In December, 1591, Francis Stewart, Earl of Bothwell, had made an attempt to seize on the person of his sovereign James VI., but being disappointed, had retired towards the north.
Huntley, under cover of executing that commission, took occasion to revenge a private quarrel he had against James Stewart, Earl of Murray, a relation of Bothwell's.
In the night of Feb. 7, 1592, he beset Murray's house, burnt it to the ground, and slew Murray himself; a young nobleman of the most promising virtues, and the very darling of the people.

She had heard one stanza of the Scottish ballad ''The Bonny Earl of Murray" as "Ye Highlands and Ye Lowlands, Oh where hae you been?, They hae slay the Earl of Murray, And Lady Mondegreen," and only much later realized that the last line was actually "And laid him on the green." No Lady Mondegreen.
A few days ago, I took the occasion of a reader's query about "for all intensive purposes" (which is, of course, a mangled rendition of "for all intents and purposes") to introduce the subject of "mondegreens." Mondegreens are humorous mishearings of popular phrases and song lyrics, so-named by writer Sylvia Wright in 1954.

The fame of Loch Lomond comes partly from the well known song "Loch Lomond" that goes "Me and my true love we'll never meet again on the bonny, bonny banks of Loch Lomond" and partly because it is the most accessible loch (just over an hour from Glasgow).
Loch Awe is the longest of the Scottish Lochs while Loch Ness is the deepest.
