	Philadelphia Curling Club - Bonspiels
		The Mid-Atlantic Women's Bonspiel is an annual bonspiel that rotates between the Mid-Atlantic Curling Association (MACA) clubs of Chesapeake, Philadelphia, Plainfield, and Potomac.
		The MACA Friendly Bonspiel is an open bonspiel meant as a social gathering of the five curling clubs belonging to the Mid-Atlantic Curling Association (i.e., MACA).
		The bonspiel is an open format bonspiel with teams comprised of parents and children.

	Organizing a bonspiel
		For men's bonspiels, there is not usually a dance unless spouses/partners are invited to join the men for the evening.
		During a bonspiel, the bar is a very important component of the overall atmosphere of the bonspiel.
		During a mixed or ladies' bonspiel, it is important to have a basket of female-type goodies available.

		Even if you cannot attend the finals of a Curl Mesabi Bonspiel or event, you can still catch all the action as the finals are broadcast and replayed numerous times on Channel 13, the Public Access Channel.
		Early Bird Men's Bonspiel was won by Curl Mesabi's own Tim Drobnick Rink who defeated Andy Borland of Hibbing in the finals.
		The Curl Mesabi Junior Open Bonspiel was one by Tyler George of Duluth who defeated Chris Perkovich of Chisholm.

		The TCA Energizer Men's bonspiel is one of the world's oldest continuous curling event.
		Age is as of December 31st prior to the Bonspiel*.
		All teams who have entered the TCA Energizer Men's Bonspiel by end of day December 10, 2004 are entered in the Ultimate Golf Elimination Draw.

		The sixth annual Open Junior Bonspiel was held Thanksgiving weekend (Oct 11-14, 2002) and attracted 19 Junior teams and 13 Intermediate (Juvenile) teams.

	Wausau Daily Herald Sports - Tietge leaves his mark, name with bonspiel
		As usual, he was at the Wausau Curling Club this weekend for the 51st annual high school bonspiel.
		Tietge has been involved with the bonspiel for about as long as anyone can remember, and his name is now synonymous with the event.
		From then on, it was essentially Tietge's job to organize the tournament, billed as one of, if not the, biggest and longest running bonspiels in the country.

	Nelson Clurling Club "Home of the Worlds MidSummer Bonspiel"
		Meetings were held to determine how the curling ice would be kept in good condition during the hot days of summer, how to accommodate the curlers should the response be favorable, what entertainment could be provided, and how best to publicize and promote the event.
		As the Nelson Bonspiel Committee kept him informed of the details and progress, Bill Good began to spread the news across the country.
		Initially the Bonspiel Committee had limited the entries to 50 rinks, but soon had to increase to 64 rinks.

		The Spinal Tap Mixed Bonspiel, held for the past 13 years in the Greater Toronto Area, has raised a phenomenal $120,000 for spinal cord injury (SCI) research.
		There are already plans to hold a SFAC bonspiel in Penetanguishene, Ontario, January 8th, 2005, and Pickering, Ontario, April 2nd, 2005.

		Events of note for December included Davis' (wtih Robert and Scott) First place in the Norfolk Men's Bonspiel, a strong showing in the first Boston Cashpiel (Bob, Dan, Rick, and Jim), and the appearance of Roger's Pickles (not for the faint-of-heart, as you could imagine).
		Of course, we are always pleased to welcome back our friends from last year, but we are very encouraged to see a bunch of new Canadian Club members, some brand new to the sport (Alex, Jennifer, Roger, Trevor) and others who have curled before but not here (Scott and Dave).

	Royal Canadian Men's Bonspiel
		In January 2002, a small group of us were lamenting the fact that Royals, always a party club, had been without a Men's Bonspiel for a decade.
