Joe Simon, legendary comic book writer, editor, artist, publisher, and creator of such well-known characters as Captain America, was one of the pivotal creators of comics right from the early days.
As promotion for Archie Comics' publication of the trade paper back book, Adventures of the Fly, the original double-spread art of SPIDER SPRY AND THE FLY published in the series' first issue in 1959 will be on exhibit for the first time ever.
Through arrangements with Archie Comics, with special thanks to Archie Comics' Chairman/Publisher, Michael I. Silberkleit and Archie Comics' President/Publisher, Richard H. Goldwater, comic book legend Joe Simon will be making a rare appearance on (Sunday, April 3rd) to promote the collected edition of the Simon and Kirby comic book classic, Adventures of the Fly.

The biggest mistake anyone can make, is in grading comic books that are over 30 years old (I am not talking about comics that are printed after 1975, because there are a lot of these comics.

Zograf is not new to "jam" comics: in July 1998, 'XER, a meeting of comics and fanzine authors from the territory of former Yugoslavia was held in Belgrade in 1997.
This edition of the festival mostly concentrated on contemporary comics, underground stuff predominantly, even though we had 'historical' exhibitions too, one dedicated to the 'golden age' of Serbian comics - from 1935 to 1941 - and another in connection to Magnus and Bunker's 'Alan Ford', with early originals produced by the late Magnus.
