  Boom Hardware
The bottom of the main sail is threaded in a groove on the top of the boom and secured with a line through a hole at the end of the boom.
The front of the boom has a hinged "mounting" fitting which is placed into the opening in the mast for the boom and sail slugs.
The luff (front) of the main sail is held to the mast using sail slugs.
