With that, a single DC Comics universe was created and all the superheroes found themselves in one reality where the various elements of the five Earths were fused into one.
I'm certainly not saying I want every comic to be as "dark" as IC, but a good story is a good story, no matter who the intended audience is. I wouldn't sell Punisher or Powers to a young reader, and I'm not recommending IC to them either.

Indeed, Boomerang showed the most charm in the series when some minor oversight or moral failing of his managed to create an avalanche of undesirable consequences.

At the end of the day, he was the only one who didn’t have to run across the playground to fetch it and we kids were all bored to death.
