	The Boomtown Rats - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Boomtown Rats (1975-1986) was a punk rock / New Wave group led by Bob Geldof.
		The Boomtown Rats released their first single, "Looking After Number One", in 1977 and it went straight into the UK singles chart.
		In fact, it is the only Rats song played on mainstream radio in the United States, which has interestingly led to the perception in America that the Rats were a one-hit wonder.

		There are some lovely graphical touches, such as impressive unit animation and environmental details such as the way palm trees are crushed under the tracks of tanks, but this too is ruined by little glitches, such as the first time you see one truck actually drive inside of another and occupy the same spot.
		This is nothing that a patch couldn't fix and if Desert Rats can address its most severe problems - a very variable AI and a rather stunted mutliplayer - then it might be able to up itself to an 8/10 rating.

		Whilst it reveals the influence of such as Bruce Springsteen, the Rats showed that they were more than imitators, delivering their own back to grass roots approach, mostly through Saint Bob's lyrics.
