Boone County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas.
Boone County was formed on April 9, 1869 and was named for Daniel Boone.
In the county the population is spread out with 23.90% under the age of 18, 8.20% from 18 to 24, 26.50% from 25 to 44, 24.70% from 45 to 64, and 16.70% who are 65 years of age or older.

Boone County was formed from an act of the Virginia General Assembly on March 11, 1847 from Cabell, Kanawha, and Logan counties.
The county was named in honor of Daniel Boone (1734-1820), the famous hunter and explorer, founder of Kentucky, Lieutenant Colonel of the Virginia militia, and member of the Virginia General Assembly representing Kanawha County (in 1791).
Until the county's first courthouse was built at the junction of the Pond and Spruce forks of Little Coal river, court was held in the log church at the mouth of Turtle Creek.

I understand from some of the Marion County History that the road left the Mississippi River near Memphis and went norththrough the town of Batesville, on up near the banks of White River until a good ford was found to Denton Ferry, at a farm now known as the Joe Fee place.
The old road from the White River into Marion County is now known as Dentons Ferry Road, and goes just north of Flippin on west toward Yellville approximately where HWY 202 is now.
