		Das Boot is presented in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85.1 and is enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
		While the earlier version of Das Boot had a documentary and a commentary with Petersen, like most of the other Superbit releases, this one is totally barebones and doesn’t even have a trailer.
		This newly restored directors cut incorporates the best of the original theatrical cut with the best of the television cut into a 209 minute epic that fleshes out the story and characters and adds a lot more depth to what was already one of the best war films ever made.

		Das Boot resided in my consciousness for many years before I actually saw it, though I almost watched it many times over the years.
		Das Boot appears in an aspect ratio of approximately 1.85:1 on these single-sided, double-layered DVDs; the image has been enhanced for 16X9 televisions.
		To be frank, I respect Das Boot because it is well done, but it simply doesn't do much for me. It's a good film, but not one that I particularly enjoyed.

	Album Review: Rechezentrum - Director's Cut
		An album titled Director's Cut, released alongside a video to boot, is obviously going to bring analogies to soundtrack music as if the artist wants the listener (viewer) to find a quiet dark place with good speakers much like a theatre.
		This is the third album by Marc Weiser, Christian Conrad, and Lillevsn under the Rechenzentrum name and includes a release as a DVD or CD/2XLP.
		This is probably a good strategy as the album is filled with progressions of careful sounds and noises which would pass by the casual listener if not paying attention.

	Torture
		CAVEAT EMPTOR...This boot is just a combination of half the BBC show available on The 1985 European Tour and half the BBC show available on Difficult to Cure.
		The only downer is that the recorder cut some of Robert Smith's commentary which was quite funny at the show.
		These are great performances and great recordings, but if you've got the option of getting the other, more complete boots, do it!
