Monaco: Defending champion Viswanathan Anand won his blindfold game against Boris Gelfand and drew the rapid match with the Israeli Grandmaster to join Alexander Morozevich at the top of the combined lead with five points after four rounds in the 15th Amber Blindfold and Rapid Chess Tournament here.
However, Gelfand failed to cash in on the opportunity he got as a gift and Anand was quick to atone for the mistake and secure a draw.
Having lost the first round against Morozevich, this win constitutes a fine comeback by Anand even though it is a big contrast to his last year's triumph when the Indian ace had seven victories on the trot to start with.

My thought is that maybe you had a dry joint between the original display and board unsoldering and resoldering has fixed the problem.
Maybe it's the power supply chip (U2) which creates the AC voltage signal for the display or the display driver assembly (U2 on the display driver PCB).
