Antipodean supercharged psyche-rockers are new arrivees from the fertile Australian rock'n'roll scene, Rocket Science have paid their dues back home after a series of stellar supports with the likes of You Am I, Boss Hog and The Supersuckers.
Melbourne quartet Rocket Science, however, are one of those bands that are so awesomely breathtaking live that any thoughts of detraction go crashing through the nearest window on an unstoppable wave of discordant feedback.
Yet Fifteen years on from that pre-teen insurrection, Roman and his truly inspirational band are still driven by a belief in tapping into the primal formula which drives rock'n'roll.

Time would prove that Christina Martinez was no third guitarist for anyone, and when things with Pussy Galore eventually got rocky Boss Hog was born with Martinez in the spotlight.
To be sure, the band that resurrected rock n' roll for a new generation of angst-ridden teenagers with the 1987 release of their astonishing full-length debut, Appetite for Destruction, was dead, slain by a lethal combination of drugs, oversized egos and internal feuding.
As the final chapter in the legacy of a great band that chose to crash and burn rather than fade away into obscurity, it is a valuable asset to any collection, and it shows that the GN'R catalogue has lost little of its edge over the years.

The fact that the band consisted of future members of the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Boss Hog, Royal Trux and Free Kitten amongst others, shouldn't matter to you unless you are obsessing over that stuff.
Led by Mr Jon Spencer, Pussy Galore released between 1986 - 1990 some of the most awe-inspiring punk rock since that kind of thing was invented by the Rats and Sonics way back in 1965.
Mute Records will be re-releasing the following Pussy Galore releases on both CD and vinyl:

But in 1995, when Hog signed to the majors, the line-up solidified and Martinez became the stronger influence in the band's personality by singing lead on most of the tracks, conducting most of the interviews, and, on their releases, plastering her image more prominently than those of her bandmates.
My thoughts are the Hogs are still somewhat embracing the "Pussy Galore" sound at this point in their careers and may also have been subconsciously sponging off of other acts.
The band experiments with back masking, tempo changes (slowing things way down on some cuts) and volume (quieting things down to the point where you think the disc is over).

Boss Hog - Whiteout (In The Red) - Drawer B Review
Whiteout is the sound of a band in dire need of some drugs, some perverted sex, or a kick in the face- just something to make it sound alive.
On Whiteout the band returns to its roots (sort of) with a semi-nude shot of Christina, but it’s far from the turn-on you’d expect.
I’m not sure if Whiteout is a pun, but this album couldn’t be less funky or raucous than if it had five of the whitest people you’ve ever seen playing on it.

I was never a fan of Boss Hog, but I did want to see them.
The sound was not bad, but Kepone couldn't really convince me. Maybe because the sound was still a bit too meagre (although the voices came out well), which made them sometimes sound like a heavy metal band.
The support band was also worth going for: Kepone had knocked me off my feet with their latest album Skin, and I wanted to see what they would be like on stage.

But the sheer force of pavement-crushing tunes like "Money Man," "Chemical Lady" and "Boss Hog" hold up nicely to the band's forebears, and the group's way with melody indicates a creative ambition not often found in 70s grunge revivalists.
