 Boston
In 1643 Boston was strongly fortified for the king and parliament, but it was soon crowded with the parliamentary soldiery, and made the head-quarters of Cromwell’s army.
The title of the corporation was, ‘The Mayor and Burgesses of the borough of Boston;’ the officers being a mayor, recorder, deputy-recorder, twelve aldermen; eighteen common councilmen, coroner, town-clerk, judge of the court of admiralty, gaoler, and subordinate officers connected either with the borough or port.
The borough gaol is very inadequate for that classification of the prisoners which the law requires, as there is no provision for a separation of the untried from the convicted, and the young offender has to associate, day and night, with the hardened culprit.

Boston is a town and small port in Lincolnshire, on the east coast of England.
Boston remained something of a local railway hub well into the 20th century, moving the produce of the district and the trade of the dock, plus the excursion trade to Skegness and similar places.
Boston once again became a significant port in trade and fishing when, in 1884, the new dock with its associated wharves on the Haven were constructed.

But whether the Boston United chairman’s vision is shared by all is the big question mark still hanging over the four planning applications he has submitted to Boston Borough Council.
Were Boston United to be granted planning permission then Boston Borough Council would have the tough decision of choosing to whom to sell their land – if either.
As a tie-in the borough council would aim to have the use of the training pitches for local league and junior soccer as a replacement for the two pitches currently in use on Tattershall Road or as an additional site to relocate matches when the Rosebery Avenue pitches are deemed unplayable.

 IFA in Boston
Boston (map), population 57,200 (2003), is a town in Lincolnshire, on the East coast of England.
It is the main town in the administrative district, the Borough of Boston.
The reason for the original development of the town, away from the centre of Skirbeck was that Boston lay on the point where navigable tidal water was alongside the land route, which used the terminal moraine ridge at Sibsey, between the upland of East Lindsey and the three routes to the south.
