London County Council bought all the land belonging to the Manor of Horton in Epsom, Surrey, to develop a complex of asylums which was to become the largest in Europe.
It consisted of the existing Manor House (restored) for staff, and corrugated iron buildings for patients.

Boston Manor House is a fine Jacobean manor house built in 1623 and situated in parkland containing a lake and ancient cedar trees.
The hotel overlooks the green expanses of Ealing Common and is only a few minutes walk from Ealing Common Tube Station giving easy access to central London.
