Botcon 2007 Mirage is the 1963rd Transformer that I've acquired.
Botcon being the closest thing I'll have to a vacation this year is scary in and of itself so I might as well have as much fun and I possibly can.
Unrelated to Botcon but of course, related to other cons and Transformers is the unveiling by Iacon One of their souveniers.

I was really looking forward to going to Botcon, the Transformers convention, this year, especially with the possibility of getting some information about the new 'Armada' toys and cartoon this year.
Botcon 2002 was held at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne Indiana, the same location it was held two years ago, so I already had a vague idea of where to go.
Every Botcon seems to have at least one seemingly rare toy that everyone sells for inflated prices, and this year's toy was Storm Jet, a red and white recolored version of the smaller Jetstorm toy from Beast Machines.

 BotCon Artists 2006
In addition Alex also penciled 4 pages of the BotCon 2006 comic book and will be selling prints and doing sketches for the fans at the convention.
His first professional break came when the opportunity was given to ink Joe Ng's cover for the Botcon 2006 Transformers Timelines comic Published by Fun Pub Comics.
Drew will be attending his third Botcon in 2006.

Several months after BotCon 2002, it was announced (to considerable controversy among fans) that Jon and Karl would no longer be directly involved in planning or running the convention, which meant that Glen was the "face" of 3H Productions, as most of the many other people who worked on the convention were less well-known.
This is the first chapter in BotCon's second story arc, featuring a large cast of characters from all generations of Transformers in a continuity-merging juggernaut.
Although it only existed in its new form for one year, the new BotCon Europe was to be referred to by writing the year in Roman numerals in order to help distinguish between it and the American convention.

 Hijacked BotCon
Discussion about BotCon 2002 happened, and Hallit stated that in his opinion this year was the worst due to organizational mishaps.
This contract was only good for that day, that meeting, in which the Hartmans were not informed about what it was for, nor given an opportunity to gain outside input for their decisions.
They do plan to attend every BotCon event in one way or another, either as guests or as fans, but their official involvement in 3H Productions, Inc. is done in all regards -- BotCon, the future Fan Club, or anything else planned.

The Second Coming of Botcon, this one featured a re-release of a Gen2 Gobot, and the first recognized appearance of a female-character toy(there is some speculation about Camshaft receiving that honor in europe, but no solid evidence :-).
Botcon 98 Brought us TWO recolored toys; Inferno was recolored into Antagony, ANOTHER female toy (by now, these are becoming common) while Powerpinch was recolored into Vicegrip.

Since I had to be in a wheelchair for BotCon, I got to slip in near the front of the autograph line.
T.L. Arens informed me I was required to buy a T-shirt that wasn’t the BotCon shirt (the shirt and program had a drawing of a giant femme which they had dubbed Unicronia; mother was extremely confused as to what mechs and femmes were, but we explained it enough that I think she understands now).
Peter mentioned that he only remembered a few of the characters he had played over the years, and that Optimus Prime, Ironhide, and Eeyore were the most memorable, with the Transformers being memorable because they were based on ideas and people close to him.

For BotCon 2003, we'll get a Universe story, and the current Wreckers storyline will be merged into it later, as will a revamped Primeval Dawn story.
BotCon toys will be packaged under the Transformers: Universe title and regarded as extensions of that line.

Earlier this year when Fun Publications took over the Transformers Fan Club, I signed up and so far have found the club to be "okay", the comic is alright, articles in the newsletter reasonably informative and the exclusive toy was interesting (well to me it was as I haven't been collecting Energon much).
They basically continued the story from the Botcon comic for a bit, had some interludes with various TF related ads and also did bits and pieces from Transformers: The Movie.
Everyone was comparing it with previous Botcons, but without the benefit of anything to compare it with I thought it all went rather well.

Botcon is an annual Transformers convention held by 3H Enterprises (most of the time) in various locations across the US.
Well, let's be honest, BotCon '99 has long, LONG since been over and there is still nothing up here.
I need to go find other BotCon '99 sites and steal some pictures since I was dumb and didn't take any of my own.

 X-E - Transformers BOTCON: Talk TFs without getting made fun of!
People salivating at the mouth over the idea of limited edition toys, people arguing over any potential surprise guests, and best of all: people finally getting a chance to be in their own elements and do as they wished without fearing that the 'normals' would outcast them from their usual reindeer games.
So even for those who don't go to Botcon looking to spend their live savings, just checking out the wares is good enough for them.
These Botcon exclusives are actually just repaints of figures already on the market, but they're repainted to look like characters you can't buy, and they come in nifty packaging, so they're worth the cash.
