The Botia robusta is not an outgoing Botia and should be provided with numerous hiding spots to choose from.
Botia by nature are omnivorous, meaning they will eat anything that would be easy to consume.
Growing to a maximum size of 5 inches, this species does not react much to whether it is kept in a group or alone in the aquarium, but while they were in the group stage, the tended to come out more often to feed.

It's also not a good idea to keep Blue Botias with other Blue Botias, as they are very territorial and will fight, which could lead to a death.
So, lets just say that Blue Botias are best kept with aggressive fish, i would even recommend this fish with rift lake cichlids, as it will be able to hold it's own with them.
Blue Botias will also eat smaller crustacean, like shrimp and snails, and it's a good idea to put some small snails or ghost shrimp in the aquarium for them to eat now and then.
