Stew - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There are exceptions; for example, an oyster stew is more like a soup.
Popular recipes for regional stews, such as gumbo, bouillabaise, Brunswick stew, and burgoo became common during the 19th century and have increased in popularity during the 20th century.
Written records of stews go back as far as written cookbooks.

Kevin's Review   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-20)
Following the exploits of our outer-space colonizing descendants, this sci-fi bouillabaise, replete with savage, alien-beast slave labor, warships that transform into robots (a la Robotech), political intrigue, and space colonization, is an ambitious comic.
Based around the lives of the crew of the spaceship Triton, especially the Novahawk squadron that makes up it’s fighting force, this premier issue jumps right into the fray and introduces it’s concepts and characters as the action unfolds.
I would recommend it to fans of the 80’s anime series Robotech or any of the other transforming vehicle/robots shows, as well as anyone who’s in the market for a grand scale sci-fi comic.

Lisa and Elton's Honeymoon - May 26   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-20)
We learned that bouillabaise (a tomato-based seafood stew we now commonly on menus in the U.S.) originated in Marseille so of course we had to try some while we were here.
Unlike bouillabaise found in the U.S. which usually contain shellfish, authenic bouillabaise is comprised of at least 5 different types of very fresh fish which are plunged into a tomato-based stock.
The dish is served in two parts: first, a bowl of stock with croutons and aioli; then, a plate with the freshly cooked fish.

They are also excellent with grilled meat, with grilled chicken, as an addition to your tacos or quesadillas (instead of the salsa), as a special sauce over baked fish, and even as dip for doritos or crackers.
Use also as a remoulade sauce, adding a tablespoon aver soups, specially cream ones and as a SOFRITO, for stews, bouillabaise and for red beans puerto rican style.
Also, you can use it as very special gift, at least, I know of many people who adore the Green Tomato Salsa & will prefer homemade version.

Update: And now, a further inadvertent subliminal message from your blogger - a helpful reader just wrote in to let me know that I'd misspelled "Bouillabaisse" incorrectly with one "s" - my bad, especially given that "baiser" is French for, er, making the sweet love, except in four letters.
Though Fishbowl encourages experimentation we wouldn't recommend doing any of that in boiling water, as "bouillabaise" might suggest.
