Another result is that road signs in the County have become extremely accurate, providing the public with the level of safety that was originally engineered into a section of road.

The wet weather early in the season helped to increase mosquito populations to levels higher than in 2004; however, animal, mosquito, and human populations were less affected by WNV disease in 2005 than in previous years.
A 45-year-old Boulder woman was tested for the virus after experiencing symptoms of fever, headache, muscle aches, rash, bone and joint pain, and a low-grade fever began on August 10th.
This rise, however, has been expected, and is actually typical for this time of year with the majority of WNV activity expected to occur now through August when weather patterns are likely to be hot and dry.
