Boulder County was one of the original 17 counties created by the Colorado legislature on November 1, 1861.
In the county the population is spread out with 22.90% under the age of 18, 13.40% from 18 to 24, 33.60% from 25 to 44, 22.30% from 45 to 64, and 7.80% who are 65 years of age or older.
