Boungnang Vorachith and Thai Prime Minister Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra and officials left Yangon for Bagan on 11 November afternoon to attend the four-country Summit Meeting on Economic Cooperation Strategy hosted in Myanmar.
The pledge was made at a meeting in Vientiane on Thursday between Lao Prime Minister Boungnang Vorachith and Vietnamese Deputy Minister of National Defence, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh.
The PM said the Party, Government and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic would forever be in debt to the Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts for their help during the Lao revolution.

 Laos assists with search for remains
Vientiane — Viet Nam and Laos have reaffirmed their commitment to search for the remains of Vietnamese soldiers and experts who died during past wars in Laos.
During the meeting, Rinh informed his host about the outcomes of the ninth session between the two countries’ search committees recently held in Vientiane.
He thanked the Lao Government for its guidance and assistance in creating favourable conditions to help the two countries search for the volunteers’ remains.
