Bowman Field Airport, or more commonly known as simply, Bowman Field, is the first airport located in the city of Louisville, Kentucky.
Bowman Field is Kentucky's first commercial airport, and one of the oldest continually operating airfields in North America.
Bowman leased a parcel of land east of Louisville from the U.S. Government in 1919 to operate an airfield.

Bowman Field is a minor league baseball stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The logging town of Williamsport has hosted minor league baseball since even before 1923, when Bowman Field was completed to host the city's entry as an original franchise in the New York-Pennsylvania League (now the Eastern League), called the Williamsport Billies.
The Eastern League was at Bowman off and on for nearly seventy years, through the 1991 season with the Williamsport Bills.

The field was formally christened "Bowman Field" on June 29, 1929.
When the city saw that it was going to be "stuck" with Bowman Field it decided to establish a body to administer the field regulated its use and coordinate with the city the maintenance of the field.

Ordered to Wright Field in 1938, he directed the Air Corps Motion Picture Laboratory and the Army Aeronautical Museum, and was responsible for all public relations for the National Air Races held in Cleveland in 1938 and 1939.
He was ordered to Geiger Field, Wash., in June 1943 to take command of the 401st Bomb Group shortly after its activation, and six months later he took the group overseas to become a unit of the 1st Bombardment Division of the Eighth Air Force.
For the purpose of indoctrinating correspondents on the results of bombings on strategic targets, Colonel Bowman was called to duty in the headquarters of the U.S. Strategic Air Forces in Europe to serve as deputy chief of staff for public relations in December 1944.

At one time, part of Fourth Street was known as Millionaire’s Row because that was where the logging barons lived; the town’s Tri-State League team between 1904 and 1910 was called the Millionaires, and the nickname still applies to the city’s high school teams.
The park was home to the Eastern League for a while until 1992, when the New York Mets moved the Williamsport Bills up to Binghamton, N.Y. The New York-Penn League promptly moved in, and the club adopted the Crosscutters name, evoking the city’s logging heritage, in 1999.
