Hernando: Bomb squad neutralizes box left at post office
The box had no visible address label, and the tape on the bottom of the package seemed to have been tampered with.
A bomb squad was called in and found more worrying evidence: An X-ray of the package revealed that it contained electronic equipment, batteries and wires, suggesting it could be a homemade bomb, said Lt. Joe Paez, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office said the process is secret because authorities do not want prospective bomb makers to know how it is done.

I agree that it didn't bomb at the cinema.
Maybe I wouldn't use the word "bombed" but there's no question the box office didn't meet the expectations of the studio or Joss or most of the fans.
Serenity is sat at $38m from the box office (which will likely remain the final figure - the international run is basically finished), of a reported budget of $39m so it's actually very, very marginally a 'box office flop'.

Box office figures: pure Hollywood spin Los Angeles Business Journal - Find Articles   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-05)
But generating the biggest box office take doesn't always mean generating the biggest profits.
Box office performance can determine how a film is booked on the studio's balance sheet -- and that can influence the pay-out for other venues, such as videocassette and DVD sales, broadcast and cable rights and sequel opportunities.
To be sure, a box office bomb doesn't always doom a film's bottom-line chances, but a blockbuster can translate to a strong home video/DVD release -- as well as providing the leverage to charge cable outlets more for a particular film.

10:12 PM PT Nicolas Cage is box office gold again after dominating the box office for three weeks with his patriotic thriller "National Treasure." It looks like it will win the box office again this weekend, and bring in a total of $100 million, becoming the 18th film of the year to do so.
The film hasn't had too much competition and Thanksgiving box office attendance was lackluster at best, with few epics doing well.
Few other big box office films this holiday season could be box office blockbusters, but "Lemony Snicket, A Series of Unfortunate Events," "The Aviator" and "The Phantom of the Opera" will try.

Tongue firmly in cheek regarding the title, Box Office Bomb still lived up to its name as it didn't create as much of a buzz as Dramarama's debut, keeping the group's West Coast following more than happy while unfortunately never doing much elsewhere in the world.
Regrettably so, for Box Office Bomb is another strong blast of energetic classic rock-via-punk treats that shows the band still in outrageously good form.
Lyrically reflecting the group's transplantation to Hollywood's environs in more ways than one, including the album's slamming lead single "It's Still Warm," an unsure, uneasy reflection on their new locale and the cost it incurred, musically Box Office Bomb otherwise stayed true to its roots.

However, as tolerable as the bombing sequence is in regards to the whole of the film, it remains merely entertainment, offering nothing more on life, death or war.
Bound to an unoriginal screenplay, the lack of connection between characters provokes a severe predictability (aside from the predictability of Pearl Harbor being bombed, you smart-asses).

While the development team has done a better-than-average job of heaping sparkles and gloss over these broken bones of a game, the end result is that Catwoman is a overly simplistic combat game.

The sultry character may offer a mesmerising, hip-swaying walk and spectacular feline acrobatics, but the game is frustrating, thanks to imprecise, unintuitive controls and a dreadfully wayward camera over which the players have no control.
