Bradley E. "Brad" Delp, born June 12, 1951 in Danvers, Massachusetts, is the lead vocalist of the rock band Boston.
Coffee plant at the time, met Boston founder Tom Scholz when guitarist Barry Goudreau hired Delp as lead vocalist for his band, Mother's Milk, in which Scholz was a keyboardist.
He was also lead vocalist for the band Return to Zero, a band created by former Boston member Barry Goudreau.

Delp counts off and they launch into " Mercy, Mercy, Mercy " — a tune by the Buckinghams (based on a Cannonball Adderley instrumental) that every self-respecting party band had to know in 1966.
Delp recalls that in the early ’70s, he was involved in two projects: a post-Monks band with guitarist Bob Hayes and a project with guitarist/keyboardist Tom Scholz, who was making demos in his home studio.
Flash-forward to 2001 and Delp has long since wrapped up his vocals for the fifth Boston disc; now he’s waiting to hear when Scholz is ready to let it out and put the band on the road.

While BOSTON was on hiatus in the early 80's, Brad found the time to sing on Barry Goudreau's 1980 solo album, the Orion the Hunter album (to which he contributed writing), and a track on Keith Emerson's Best Revenge soundtrack.
Brad quit BOSTON in 1989/90 to form RTZ with Barry Goudreau, but he returned in late 1994.
Brad has spent much of his spare time from 1994-present playing in a side band, called Beatle Juice (a Beatles tribute group).

Brad Delp lives 25 minutes north of where he grew up in Boston and still plays at his high school class reunions with his first garage band.
Delp said the band pioneered the art of recording a major release in a "homebuilt" studio, and is the only band to record consecutive multi-platinum albums in their basement.
When Delp is not touring or recording with Boston, and when he's not playing with garage bands like the Iguanas and the Monks, he is playing Beatles music in his band Beatle Juice.

Brad Delp is the much loved original voice of Boston, who has made regular appearances with the band, but has been denied the opportunity of being the band's sole vocalist.
Brads vocals are still some of the strongest in all of music, no question.
Living in MA and having seen Beatle Juice, Brad Delp's Beatles tribute band of the last 11 years, I can see the strong influence of, say, George Harrison in particular, and can understand this direction.

Vocalist Brad Delp even mentioned that first show (which took place at San Francisco’s Winterland in November, 1976), during the encores here, which happened to be the first major headline show that the band ever played outside of its hometown.
Delp and Cosmo did their part to make the evening memorable, with each helping the other reach those unattainable notes on songs like "I Think I Like It,” “Hollyann” and “Amanda,” and doing a great job bringing all of those harmonies to life.
Brad Delp and Tom Scholz, could there possibly be a finer combination than that in the rock world.

Brad Delp (vocals) and Barry Goudreau (guitar) were two of the original members of the late 70’s band Boston.
Lost And Found is another page in Brad and Barry’s history together, and is made up of never before released tracks that were recorded before the first RTZ album (1991).
Delp still manages to deliver a wonderful vocal set and Goudreau delivers plenty of sharp guitar solos and fills that made him famous.

Goudreau and Delp were both part of the original BOSTON line up, and after Barry’s departure from Boston the two stayed in close contact with Brad contributing both to Barry Goudreau’s solo album and also to a lesser degree on the ORION THE HUNTER album.
Delp and Goudreau landed a deal with Giant Records and the first RTZ album was released in 1991.
The band soon hit the road, Delp gave BOSTON his notice and they felt that the sky was the limit.
