During spring 2005 Bennett and Rensselaer undergraduate Bridget Rice—inspired by Bradbury Thompson’s philosophy that it is misleading for a letter, or any graphic symbol for that matter, to have two different designs—assessed the adaptability of Alphabet 26 as a font or font system for early readers.
Thompson has a good idea about changing the letters of the alphabet so that the uppercase and lowercase look alike and create less confusion however there are still some flaws in his new alphabet that will need to be worked out before his idea can be accepted by his peers.

Thompson was born in 1911 in Topeka, Kansas, and attended Washburn College, studying economics.
Bradbury Thompson was a member of the faculty of Yale University for over thirty years, and was granted the highest honors by the National Society of Art Directors in 1950, the AIGA in 1975, and the Art Directors Hall of Fame in 1977.
Bradbury started this project in 1969, and it would take him about a decade to complete, and it is considered to be the most thorough reassessment of the printed Bible format since Gutenberg.
