		The City of Brampton has identified approximately 2,500 acres of “employment lands” in the west area of Brampton, but it is our understanding that scenarios are being considered where that inventory of land could be whittled down to as low as 1,500 acres in favour of residential development.

		I hate to tentatively put all the Brampton ridings in the "too close" category, but strategically speaking, I wouldn't be so certain about Clement.

		(Brampton – June 24, 2004), IFAW (the International Fund for Animal Welfare) today released the results of a 400-person survey that shows both former Ontario Health Minister and Conservative Leadership contestant Tony Clement leading in the key 905-area riding of Brampton West and overwhelming support for major animal welfare initiatives amongst residents.
		Among respondents expressing an opinion, Clement led with 43 percent of the vote while Liberal MP Colleen Beaumier was second with 36 percent of the vote and New Democrat Chris Moise was third with 13 percent.
		Last week, IFAW launched a 35 riding campaign designed to engage its supporters and raise public awareness during the federal election on issues such as federal cruelty laws, the killing of seabirds due to bilge oil dumping and the east coast seal hunt.
