		A good hot brand is recognizable because it destroys hair follicles located under several layers of skin and leaves a permanent bald scar on the hide of the animal.
		The principle behind the freeze branding technique is to hold the super-chilled irons to the animals' clipped hide just long enough to destroy the melanocytes (pigment producing cells) in the skin and cause the regrowth of the hair to be white.
		The face of the irons should be rounded to uniformly transfer the cold from the iron to the skin.
