The Vermont Council on Rural Development (VCRD), one of 36 State Rural Development Councils nationwide, was established in 1992 with the assistance of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Governor's Office.

The Friend’s of Brandon Town Hall has received 501(c)(3) status from the IRS; we are now a non-profit.
The architectural firm of Robert Carl Williams Associates has been hired to prepare the necessary documents for beginning rehabilitation work on the Town Hall/Community Center.
However, in order to use the Hall we still need more chairs to provide seating for the future events to be held in the Town Hall/Community Center.
