		BRANDON - A section of the new elevated highway over the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway collapsed when a pier sank 20 feet into a sinkhole Tuesday morning, closing the road for hours and turning the morning commute to Tampa into a traffic nightmare.
		Some motorists said it took more than 90 minutes to get from Brandon to downtown Tampa, triple the usual time.
		Traffic was closed in both directions as a precaution while engineers began investigating the structural integrity of the rest of the new toll road, which is being built in the median of the existing Selmon expressway.
