Brant is the name of current and former federal and provincial electoral districts in the Canadian province of Ontario.
This riding was created in 1903 from Brant County exclusive of the whole or the bulk of the county seat of Brantford.
Although its boundaries have been altered, it has always comprised the bulk of Brant County (now governed by two single-tier municipalities, the City of Brantford and the City of Brant County) and often the Six Nations Indian Reserve No. 40.

Brant County was severely reprimanded for being a "bad roamer" in this convoy - there's more about this on my page about HX 202.
Christmas that year was spent with Convoy HX 219, which originated in New York on Dec. 13, but Brant County joined the convoy from Halifax on the 16th, general cargo and mail, bound for Holyhead, then Avonmouth.
Bergenske DS had another ship named Brant County in 1947, ex Nortraships' D/S Carl Oftedal which was taken over by Bergenske in 1946, renamed Brant County in 1947.

The last time the brant population index was this low in Skagit County was in 1983, prompting a four-year hunt closure, noted Don Kraege, WDFW waterfowl manager.
Causes of the Skagit brant population decline are unknown, but may be the result of poor production on the birds' western Canadian breeding grounds, combined with possible changes in areas of the flyway the brant frequent, Kraege said.
Hunters registered for brant hunts in both Skagit and Pacific counties will automatically be mailed a new hunting authorization and harvest report prior to the next scheduled season.
