The county has now been dissolved into the single-tier municipalities of Brant and Brantford.
Although these two municipalities are still enumerated as the single census division of Brant County by Statistics Canada, Brant does not have a county government.

WILLIAM EDWIN WINSKEL, Brantford, was born in the Township of Windham, Norfolk County, Ontario, June 22nd, 1853, and is a son of John Winskel, a native of Westmoreland, England, and a farmer by occupation.

HERBERT BIGGAR, one of the oldest and most honored settlers of Brantford Township and Brant County, was born in Queenston, Ont., Jan. 6, 1809, and is a son of Robert Biggar, whose sketch appears elsewhere in this work.
He purchased a farm on Whitman’s Creek, Brant County; but six months later, in 1838, on the event of his father's death he came to the home-farm, and has since resided there.
