Tomas and Tagum.  Six (6) additional municipalities were created as of May 6, 1970.  These were Carmen, Kaputian, Maco, Montevista, New Bataan and New Corella.  As of 1996, the province already has a total of twenty-two (22) municipalities with the creation of San Vicente (now Laak) in 1979, Maragusan in 1988 and Talaingod in 1990.
Davao del Norte was among the local government units that experienced a change of officials.
Prospero S. Amatong was appointed as the OIC-Governor of Davao del Norte on April 4, 1986.  Together with him, six Board Members were appointed, but four of them resigned when they ran for congressional positions.  Consequently, four new members of the Provincial Board were appointed to fill in the vacancies.

Vast tracts of land covering almost 90 percent of Dujali’s 9,100 hectares land area are devoted to rice farming.
Overflowing with rice, Dujali produces an estimated 213,000 cavans of palay annually, 26,500 which are organically grown while 190,000 are produced in a conventional way.  Pegging milling recovery at 64 percent, Facula said his town is making more than 279,000 sacks of rice every year.
This cropping season, Dujali has devoted around 250 hectares to organic farming but it is expected to double its planting area for “nature farming” next year due to high demand for chemical-free rice supply.
