THE BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER/...GOES TO MARS/...TO THE RESCUE - DVDs
The Brave Little Toaster is Blade Runner for children--in truth, there are too many disquieting moments to document, and as many avenues rich for deconstruction, not the least of which the degree to which Toy Story cribs an astonishing amount from The Brave Little Toaster, everything from its premise to the layout of set-pieces.
The Brave Little Toaster allows fantasies before cautioning against their indulgence--it is as canny an auto-commentator in its way about the usefulness of animation in the telling of fable as anything that I've seen, and a fabulous bit of science-fiction along the way about the march of time against the persistence of memory.
The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue is dated in a way that the original isn't, in other words, with the songs (not by Van Dyke Parks this time around, and it shows) varying shades of expository dreadful and overlong besides.

At the first glance one could believe that "The Brave" is an action movie: a desperate man enters in the wrong place and he has to run away in order to keep himself alive.
For those who love the adventures and action movies this one could be the prefect beginning for another one.
Depp gives us a beautiful movie that shows an excellent director: the photography is wonderful, the first sequence is hallucinant; the only regret is that it remembers Jarmush's "Dead Man".

This movie was filmed in 1997 and it marked Johnny Depp's directing debut which I believe he did a terrific job being his first time behind the camera.
The movie is somewhat dark and sad (obviously) and although I don't think this movie would do too well if it were to be release in theaters not because is not good but is kind of a depressing movie and it would not hold the interest of too many people I believe.
This movie showed how very real poverty in our country is, the frustration of trying to get by, and a huge sacrifice a man was willing to make for his family.

Brave is Richard Stanley's vision of life in the modern landscape as inspired by the Marillion album of the same name.
His next film, DUST DEVIL (1992) was as wildly visual and cinematically unique as his previous work, and BRAVE is a further exploration into surreal cinema with Marillion providing the soundtrack and loosely fitted plot about a troubled young girl driven to attempted suicide by her use of drugs, excessive alienation and traumatic rape.
The BRAVE film can easily be called the band's most ambitious endeavor yet, as it was their first exploration into film, a daunting task that eclipsed all of their previous work with music video.
