High-flying Bray Wanderers were on the receiving end of a shock 1-3 setback in the Eircom First Division last night (Friday) when hosts Galway United played some of their best football of the season.
Wanderers pushed for an equaliser thereafter but they were instead caught by a swift Galway counter attack which saw Dupuy netting again to put the issue beyond doubt two minutes into injury time.
Bray improved on the restart though and got back into the game on 65 minutes with a goal by Alan Gough from all of 25 yards.

 Bray Wanderers
Bray started the second half the better, but it was very short lived as Rovers went on to dominate for a period before Bray came back into the match.
Bray's Ciaran Ryan was booked for a foul on Cretaro as they tried to stop the Real Tubber star's influence on the game, Rovers goal scorer, David O'Dowd, was also booked but at the break it would have been Don O'Riordan who was the happiest of the two managers.
Then, after Bray were awarded a free-kick in injury time, a Rovers player went down in the box as the home team got ready to defend the kick.

 Bray Wanderers 3-1 Bohemians (Webb)
When Shelbourne lost in Bray two weeks ago they contributed much to their own downfall, but, of the several Wanderers players who stood out, Colm Tresson was the most persistent cause of difficulty for the visiting defence.
Wanderers have been fairly solid at home all season, but, since beating Cork City in the middle of last month, they have been bursting with confidence on their own territory.
Bray clearly felt they had a licence to get bodies forward and, less than five minutes after the equaliser, Paul Keegan took advantage of some poor marking inside the six-yard box to head Eddie Gormley's corner home.

 The Seagulls Nest
TV3’s footage of Bray Wanderers title decider at Whitehall last Saturday was unusual in that, far from encouraging debate, it established without doubt that the penalty award that shattered the Seagulls was a refereeing error.
In effect, while Bray’s coaching staff was picking up the pieces, he was able to give his entire first team an invaluable rest before this evening’s encounter with Wanderers' battered brigade.
Nevertheless Wanderers looked to be treading water as the first half came to a close, and press box criticism of Devo’s team selection was more muted than it had been when the visitors looked in danger of being overwhelmed.

Just before the break, Bray were awarded a free in a promising position just outside the D, but Philip Keogh's shot while it cleared the wall flew well over the bar.
A period of sustained Bray pressure yielded five corners in as many minutes, with goalie Byrne forced to touch one of Gormley's infamous spotkicks over before being substituted, and his replacement Ciaran Donnelly coming under attack on arrival.
Bray's substitute keeper, Niall Hobbart, did well to react fast enough to claim the ball when it bounced down off the bar following a Kinsella corner, while at the other end Ger O'Brien cleared yet another Gormley corner won by Kelch off Keith O'Brien.

 DAFTS Eire 2
In earlier friendlies, Premiership side Bray Wanderers had recently beaten Northampton 3-0 and then drew with Coventry 1-0 and so this was expected to be Darlo's sternest test of the tour.
Hodgy then went in for a tackle with Bray defender Jason Bryne - no obvious foul from Hodgy - but the Bray player went down in a great deal of pain, clutching his chest and crying out in agony.
However, Darlo went to sleep and allowed Bray straight back into the game immediately after the restart - the defence gave the Bray front-line far too much room and Barry O'Connor volleyed in from the edge of the box - lots of accusative glances in the Darlo defence...

RTÉ.ie Sport - Bray Wanderers stay in touch with First Division leaders
An injury-time equaliser from Bray Wanderers veteran Kieran 'Tarzan' O'Brien was enough to steal a 3-3 draw away to Galway United last night.
But Wanderers' never-say-die attitude salvaged a point for them as first John Flood (85 minutes) and then O'Brien (92) brought them back from the brink at Terryland.
The only goals of the night came from Bray's trip to Galway, as first half goals from Mark Herrick and Barry Moran looked to have given them the full points.
