 | | Born Aug. 8, 1916, in Burnsville, W.Va., he was the son of Laura (Hanna) and Justus Bredon; and graduated from Fairmont, W.Va., High School. |
 | | A published author, he enjoyed writing poetry, playing golf, reading, visiting with friends at McDonald's, and telling stories of WWII and "the hills of West Virginia." He was a member of the VFW, Riverton Country Club, and WVU Alumni Association. |
 | | Survivors include his son, James Wolfe Bredon of Bemidji, Minn.; daughter, Linda Manchester, and her husband of Missoula, Mont.; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Arnett Bredon of Chico, Calif., and Paul Bredon of Mansfield, Ohio. |
