I have bought the Revell Breguet Atlantic, aiming to build it for a friend who worked on the avionics.
I must note that at the time this picture was taken, the Orions had fresh paint and the Atlantics were at the end of their surface life.
Indeed he was, and one has a P-3 tail and MAD boom in the foreground: the P-3 is in two-tone grey, so I'm guessing it is a Dutch example and the darker grey is a Dark Sea Grey.

The possibility of hostile fire is remote, as it would be a long and tedious undertaking to wait armed in the middle of the ocean in a dhow (the classic Arab sailing ship) until the Atlantic flew over it.
However, the crew are cautious, so the aircraft always flies only once over the ships, as they want to avoid an emergency landing at all costs.
The Atlantic is fitted with the standard equipment for Africa, but without any underwater detection equipment, as fortunately the terrorists do not yet ride around in submarines.

It seems the factory used Gris Blue Clair on the first four Dutch Atlantics (the Aeronavale Atlantic color), and *possibly* Medium Sea Grey on the remainder, which is the color that was specified by NATO for anti-submarine aircraft.
The Dutch navy indeed ordered the Atlantics in the colors you mention (great research!), but the first four we received were painted in Aeronavale colors, the Gris Bleu Clair I mentioned.
We have a piece of wreckage of serial number 257, which was painted in the official color MLD 155, and it matches halfway between FS 26270 and FS 25237.

Espicially, aircrafts like Atlantic which are relatively new and are in operations in three EU Airwings I find hard to believe that PN would use other Atlantics as spare parts.
The first fatality of PN was in early 80s when one of the aircraft while going through a regular electrical system check caught fire in the hanger and was destroyed.
