Brenchley has often said that cats would be better off euthanized than living as indoor-only pets, and that cats such as the Sphinx unsuited for the outdoors should be thrown outside to die rather than allowed to live.

Blood Waters by Chaz Brenchley Review   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-09)
Brenchley has a real knack for expressing desolation and desperation, and at his best brings to mind the likes of Derek Raymond, though no one descends into the old slough of despond quite like the late master.
Brenchley has a fine ear for dialogue, and is able to conjure place and mood with grace and parsimony.
I have no idea what that actually means, but somehow believe Brenchley when he describes it as "the strangest job in the known universe." He also notes in passing that some of the stories may be found carved in stone, steel and concrete at that project.

Penn State Eberly College of Science -- Brenchley5-2004
According to Penn State researchers Vanya I. Miteva, research associate, and Jean E. Brenchley, professor of microbiology and biotechnology, the majority of the microbes they discovered in an ice-core sample taken from the glacier were less than 1 micron in size--smaller than most commonly known bacteria, which range from 1 to 10 microns.
She and Miteva are in the process of closely examining all the microbes they found in order to determine the identities and diversity of the species and to look for ones with novel functions.
Miteva and Brenchley discovered cells with many different shapes and sizes, including a large percentage that were even smaller than filter-pore sizes of only 0.2 microns.

Brenchley bases these Knights on the Crusades, they are simultaneously priests and warriors.

Review: The End of All Roads by Chaz Brenchley
Confusing enough that I lost track of who was where in the world and where they were trying to go, and although that didn't matter for a lot of the plot, there were places where it was a bit frustrating.
Brenchley makes rather extensive use of various forms of magical transportation just to get the characters shuttled around so that they're all in the right locations for the plot.
Brenchley does his best to stand a few assumptions of the series on their head at the end, changing the light in which many previous events should be taken.

 Gail-Nina Anderson interviews Chaz Brenchley
Brenchley, gazing disconsolately at the bar-food menu in front of him, "but cooking is one of them."
Right, I know the signs - that means we're not eating this lunchtime because the food is mediocre fare in the flabbiest tradition of pub grub, but we had to meet in a bar because we'd need a drink (or several) to lubricate the afternoon.
One more round, and Brenchley may well start extolling the virtues of his amphibious sandals, but I suspect your dedicated interviewer will by then be considerably beyond the capacity to take coherent notes.
