Kavanaugh was renominated by President George W. Bush to serve on the D.C. Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals in January of 2006.
Brett M. Kavanaugh was born on February 12, 1965 in Washington, D.C., and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, the son of Edward and Martha Kavanaugh.
