Brian Harvey (born 8 August 1974) was the former lead singer of UK pop/dance band East 17.
Currently he is dating model Emma B. In May 2005, after being diagnosed with clinical depression, Harvey apparently took a number of overdoses of sleeping tablets and was hospitalised.
On 31 May 2005, he was readmitted to hospital in a critical condition after doing the un-doable - according to his PR "he fell under the wheels of his Mercedes Benz motor car, whilst driving".

In January 1997 a pop star called Brian Harvey, lead singer of E17, stirred the shit when he gave an interview saying that Ecstasy can make you a better person.
Unfortunately, he also said that he'd taken 12 at a go without any problem and driven home on E. Brian looks like a sexless sweetie who appeals to teeny boppers and who is very high in the charts but of course despised by ravers.
I did accept Newsnight (who edited me fairly) saying that Brian's remarks and hysteria were just what the government needed to push through its new bill.

FORMER E17 lead singer Brian Harvey had emergency surgery on his head today after being attacked with either an axe or a machete as he left a nightclub early this morning.
Harvey, 27, from Walthamstow, who found fame with the chart-topping band - originally known as East 17 - had been promoting The Works nightclub in Nottingham.
Detective Inspector Dave Hoare of Nottinghamshire police said that as Harvey left the club at about 1.40am with two local girls he was approached by a group of four to five men.
