Brian Orser OC (born on December 18, 1961 in Belleville, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian figure skater and one of the most accomplished skaters in his country's history, with eight national titles, two Olympic medals, and a world title to his credit.
At the 1988 Olympics in Calgary the battle for gold was waged between Orser and Boitano, with Orser losing the gold by the narrowest margin in history.
The rivalry between them became known as the Battle of the Brians, and their skating in Calgary is often referred to as the greatest night of skating in Olympic men's history.

 Orser, recently hired as head coach at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club, knows something about the triple A. The native of Penetanguishene, Ont., was the best free skater in the world in his prime.
 Orser won silver at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics and was on the podium at six world championships, including the top level in 1987 in Cincinnati.

Professional ice skater Brian Orser was "outed" to the world on November 17 as Ontario Court Justice Susan Lang refused his request to seal the records of a palimony lawsuit by his former lover, Craig Leask.
Orser won the world men's figure skating championship in 1987, and was Canada's national champion eight times in the 1980's.
One of the most damaging allegations Leask makes is that Orser killed their two dogs after the breakup, while Orser contends that one is alive and well in a good home and the other was put down on the advice of a veterinarian.
