STONEHOUSE: Well, that varies from year to year, depending on sort of cash flows of projects that we have underway but over the last I think five years, on average about $5 million to $6 million a year is the money that we would get back from the federal government.
STONEHOUSE: I think we do have a breakdown of generally where the RIM money is allocated but that program was started a couple of years ago, it started out as $12 million and there has been a commitment that it would double to $20 million over a four-year period.

 Women British SOE agents executed at Natzweiler-Struthof
At 3 o'clock in the afternoon on July 6, 1944, two prisoners in the remote Natzweiler concentration camp in Alsace, Albert Guérisse and Brian Stonehouse, witnessed the arrival of four women, who had been brought by the Gestapo from the civilian prison in Karlsruhe, Germany to be executed.
Stonehouse, also a British SOE agent and a talented artist, took note of the hair style and clothing of each of the women, as they walked through the gate into the camp.
By the Summer of 1944, when Brian Stonehouse and Albert Guérisse were transferred to Natzweiler from the Mauthausen camp in Austria, Hitler's building projects had been put on hold and the quarry was no longer being worked.

In 1939 Stonehouse became a member of the Territorial Army and after the outbreak of the Second Word War he joined the British Army.
In October 1943, Stonehouse was deported to Nazi Germany where he spent time in various concentration camps including Dachau.
Unluckily for them both, direction-finders picked out Stonehouse when he was engaged in a prolonged transmission, at a chateau just south of Lyons, on 24 October; and she was arrested when she arrived there, bearing written messages for him, a few minutes after he had been captured at his set.

In her London de-briefing on 11 June 1943 (18) Denise described how she saw Stonehouse in the street in Lyons with two men on 24 October 1942, followed them and saw that he was taken to a police station: she realised he had been arrested.
Stonehouse was good at drawing and always had his sketch book (which Denise often carried) despite Denise's warnings to him not to carry such incriminating items with him.
Curiously, Stonehouse's debrief document (19) does not mention Denise at all for some inexplicable reason, and yet he clearly worked closely with her for some time.

Before this time, it obtained the name of East Stonehouse, in contradistinction to the hamlet of West Stonehouse, which stood on the opposite shore of the harbour, near Cremill, and Mount Edgcumbe, until burnt by the French, some centuries ago.
East Stonehouse was formerly a chapelry, in the parish of St. Andrew's, Plymouth, but was constituted a separate parish by act of Parliament.

On July 6, 1944, Rowden, Leigh, Borrel and Olschanezky were shipped to the Natzweiler-Struthof concentration camp in the Vosges Mountains of Alsace (France) where they were injected with phenol and disposed of in the crematorium.
They were meant to disappear without trace, but their arrival at the concentration camp was witnessed by captured PAT Line operator Albert Guerisse and SOE agent Brian Stonehouse.
In 1985, SOE agent and painter Brian Stonehouse, who saw Diana Rowden and the three other female SOE agents at the Natzweiler-Struthof concentration camp just before their deaths, painted a poignant watercolour of the four women which now hangs in the Special Forces Club in London, England.

The key prosecution witnesses, Albert Guérisse, Brian Stonehouse and Dr. Boogaerts, who were all members of the SOE, had a motive for wanting these 4 women to go down in history as heroines, not as missing persons.
One of the accused at the proceedings of the Military Tribunal was Franz Berg, who was a Kapo or one of the prisoners who assisted the guards in the camp; it was his job to stoke the crematorium furnace.
According to Brian Stonehouse's description of the women when they arrived, one woman was carrying a small suitcase.
