		Bridgehampton Township is a civil township of Sanilac County in the U.S. state of Michigan.
		As of the 2000 census, the township population was 911.
		In the township the population was spread out with 27.7% under the age of 18, 9.1% from 18 to 24, 27.4% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 14.5% who were 65 years of age or older.

		In some townships in the northern part of the county every person was a subject of relief.
		The tax rolls for the townships of Forester and Evergreen in the county of Sanilac were destroyed in general conflagration and legislation is now asked to legalize the action of their authorities in making subsequent provision for the collection of the taxes in those townships.
		In Bridgehampton and Marion each, the entire property of from 25 to 30 families was consumed and nearly everybody lost something.

		While Michigan Democrats on Monday were introducing legislation to make Canadian trash imports more costly, Sanilac County leaders were casting doubt on a plan to allow foreign garbage.
		A $7.50 surcharge on trash in Michigan would generate $150 million if the state continues to import the 20 million tons of solid waste as it did in 2003.
		Michigan is the No. 3 importer of trash, and the new rate would be one of the highest regionally, if approved.

		Matthew fought in Co. K, 22nd Michigan Infantry and participated in the Battle of Chickamauga, GA on September 20th, 1863 in which he was wounded.
		Urias’ property in Richmondville, Forester Twsp., Sanilac Co. is described as; "Section 29 in Township 13 North, Range 15 East." In 1857, this property was in Marion Township, approximately 5 miles due east of the 80 acres purchased by William.
