		Biography: Brigitte Lin is one of the most charismatic and popular actresses to have ever graced the Jade screen, thanks to a long and distinguished career that included varied roles in romances, comedies, dramas, and action films.

	Lady in Black (1987)
		Lin does some of her best acting in this film, and Tony Leung is a villain to see (which does not happen very often).
		He persuades May (Brigitte Lin), his loving and utterly trusting wife, to embezzle HK$ 500,000 by promising that he will return the money shortly, and that this would ensure their future.
		Brigitte's excellent acting carried it (as it did many other scenes which would have been unremarkable melodrama in the hands of lesser actresses), and reminded me of the ending of Hearty Response, where Joey Wang delivered a similarly powerful performance.

		After Chungking Express, Lin (like many HK actresses) married "out" of the movie industry with a relationship with a businessman, in this case one of the founders of the "Espirit" clothing company -- perhaps, not coincendentally, one of the major corporate sponsors of the movie.

		Maggie realizes she's been outsmarted and, um, undressed, jumps back up toward the roof as Brigitte grabs the last of her undergarments leaving her naked and sitting on the roof where she proceeds to make the most of her situation by singing loudly.
