	The Songs of Briskeby (Sweden)
		The album title is the bandÂ´s comment to the Scandinavian fashion industry, who went gaga after laying its collective eyes on the band (smothering the band with awards to such an extent that a Lise-look-a-like(!) was employed to collect prizes at the various galla ceremoniesâ¦)
		The band were also added to prime time slots on more than several large scale European and Scandinavian festivals the summer of 2001, which included record-breaking attendances at both the Roskilde Festival and the Quart Festival, in addition to a string of successful appearances at amongst others Rock Am Ring, Yran and Skanderborg.
		BriskebyÂ´s modernistic and unique rock solid ice cold passion ambience has fascinated both indie purists and pop enthusiasts, conjuring images and influences from Phil Spector to Chris Stein, to the visions and delusions of grandeur of arch-1980s peacocks-with-padded shoulders pop via John Cale/Nico, Brian Eno/Roxy Music to latter-day ("near-retro"?) British and Scandinavian neo(n) pop.

	Dutch A-ha fanpage - personal stuff
		The only Dutch band on this page, Krezip, also played at a venue I went to to see A-ha (April 2000), this time in Tilburg and they too were the only band playing live.
		Last but not least is Briskeby, who toured with A-ha in Germay in 2000 where they did a great job opening for A-ha at all three concerts I visited.
		Briskeby is a powerfull rock band that is best heard live.

		What they and 40-odd other folks got to see was a band rejuvenated by the holidays break, with confidence gained by the success of the Innsbruck show, and ready able and willing to do ‘Jungle’, read recipes in their underwear, and cover Depeche Mode.
		To our pleasant surprise—we played like wet lightning (huh?) from the gate, and put quite a few folks in the room in a good moodno surprises in the set, but we did kinda move the order around, and that was enough to make it freshen up a bit in our minds.
		I am counting Briskeby’s appearances in November where I joined them onstage as a show even tho my part in it was only one song (of course, there were two of these in one night, and I count them as one) but most of these shows are straightforward.
