The Bristol Festival of Nature is a three week long event in Bristol, England, featuring hundreds of events, including lectures, tours and film screenings on subjects of science, natural history and the environment.
The event principally takes place at At-Bristol, Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, Bristol Zoo, the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England, though there are many other events around the city, such as at Blaise Castle estate and Leigh Woods.
The festival coincides with a conference of scientists, environmentalists, broadcasters and journalists, who meet to discuss the issue of communicating conservation issues to the public.

Mobile Bristol, a joint activity by HP Laboratories, Bristol University and the Appliance Studio, is creating a wireless ‘digital canvas’ over the city, on to which rich, situated, digital experiences can be painted and new commercial ventures explored.
In pursuit of this goal, HP Labs researchers and their partners from Bristol University developed a set of software tools that can place media files, such as sounds and images, in a location to blend in and augment a physical area.
