GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A former Bristol Motor Speedway account manager is suing the track for $1.3 million, alleging some of her most profitable accounts were taken away from her and given to men in the company.
Speedway officials later told Terry that her accounts were being reassigned because she had trouble "communicating with white collar workers," and that she was "better suited" to handle only smaller accounts, according to the lawsuit.
Terry's role continued to decline until August, when she was reassigned as an account manager for a speedway charity — a change resulting in a pay cut of at least $40,000, the lawsuit alleged.
