The Bristol has always had a splendid reputation as a car that was superbly designed and made of top quality materials, regardless of cost.
In 1964 this was succeeded by the Type 408, itself followed two years later by the Type 409, and in 1967 by the Type 410.
A frequent query is `why was the Bristol model that succeeded the Type 412 called the Type 603 ?,` - the answer given is that it was introduced in the 603rd year after the City of Bristol had been granted its Royal charter, which gave it the unique distinction of being "a County unto itself".

In addition to the 2729 patients with type 2 diabetes assigned to intensive therapy and the 1138 patients assigned to conventional therapy, 342 overweight patients were randomly assigned to intensive treatment with metformin (29).
In developing a treatment strategy for patients with type 2 diabetes, it must be remembered that glucose intolerance occurs not in isolation but as part of a complex metabolic-cardiovascular syndrome that includes dyslipidemia, hypertension, obesity, clotting abnormalities, microalbuminuria, and accelerated atherosclerosis (32, 33), although not every one of these disorders occurs in every diabetic patient.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is part of a complex metabolic-cardiovascular cluster of disorders referred to as the insulin resistance syndrome (the metabolic syndrome or syndrome X) Because coronary artery disease represents the major cause of death in type 2 diabetes mellitus, it is desirable that any hypoglycemic agent favorably affect known cardiovascular risk factors.

Navy Matters | Type 45 Section
The Type 42 destroyers were at a very early stage of development, as was their sister ships the Type 22 frigates (to replace the Leander class (Type 12M)), and so a large gap was threatening to open up in the Royal Navy's modern fleet escort surface vessels.
The Type 22 frigates are among the most successful warships built for the Royal Navy since 1945, but there continued evolution has led to a ship that is probably closer to a cruiser or destroyer (in terms of capability and cost) than a simple frigate, particularly in their weapons fit.
The Type 23 was originally envisaged to act as a platform for a towed sonar array, carry light missile system against air attack and have facilities to land and refuel helicopters, although it would not carry a hangar.
