British Aerospace (BAe) was a UK aircraft manufacturer, now part of BAE Systems.
In accordance with the provisions of the British Aerospace Act 1980 the statutory corporation was changed to a plc, British Aerospace Public Limited Company, on January 1 1981.
The company, initially called "New British Aerospace", was officially formed on November 30, 1999 and known as BAE Systems (most likely to make it seem less overtly "foreign" as it sought extensive US defense contracts and acquisitions).

The British Aerospace ACA or EAP was a prototype fighter aircraft developed as a private venture in the 1980s and which eventually formed the basis for the Eurofighter.

India has force-cordoned around 80 Jaguar deep-penetration strike aircrafts, which were grounded after four planes crashed in quick succession and a court of inquiry found a snag in one of the aircrafts, which crashed on May 7.
British Aerospace is the original manufacturer of Jaguars.
